Lately the news media has been abuzz about the public tiff between Rocketboom’s Andrew Baron and host Amanda Congdon. In case you’re not familiar, Rocketboom is a blog that posts a short comedy/fake news clip daily. It has developed a sizeable following and Johnny O’Brien has built this playlist, which is in synch with this Internet-centric story.

Over the past week, the blogging community (Robert Scoble, Jason Calacanis, Michael Arrington, Matthew Ingram, Valleywag, et al) has been “booming” over the drama surrounding Amanda Congdon’s departure from Rocketboom. In fact, unofficial lip-reading sources say that World Cup participants Zinedine Zidane and Marco Materazzi were chatting about it prior to the now famous headbutt at the World Cup Final.
